History
Dubuc is the second stop west of Esterhazy. It lies about 20 kilometres north of the Qu’Appelle Valley on Highways 9 and 22.
The village of 65 is named for Sir Joseph Dubuc, a Winnipeg-based traveling judge who was instrumental in bringing settlers to the area. Dubuc was incorporated as a village in 1905, almost two years after the first settlers arrived with the Canadian Pacific Railway.
Dubuc was the most thriving community on the Canadian Pacific Railway’s Kirkella branch line for many years.
