MCS is a full service school. It serves the needs of 400 grade 7 to 12 students. 

Academic programming goes well beyond most schools in Saskatchewan. In addition to Core Curriculum, Melville Comprehensive School offers the following additional programs:  Band, Choral, Core French, French Immersion, Drama, Creative Writing, Communication Studies, Media Studies, Christian Ethics, Calculus, Accounting, Law, Life Transitions, Entrepreneurship and Geography. 

The Comprehensive nature of the school allows courses such as Mechanical, Automotive, Construction, Carpentry, Welding and Cosmetology to be offered.

Melville Comprehensive School also boasts of one of the finest Special Needs Education programs in the province. The Functional Integrated program includes a water therapy unit, an excellent Life Skills facility as well as a Snoezelen Room.

In addition, Melville Comprehensive School offers students an extremely wide range of extra-curricular programs from the regular high school programs to the arts, culture and sports.
