For immediate release:

Last Cattle Frontier Project is ready to go!

The three REDA’s in East-central Saskatchewan are putting the finishing touches on their “Last Cattle Project”. This project is being co-sponsored by South Parkland REDA, Yellowhead REDA, and Good Spirit REDA. This is the fifth year of this project that has attracted over 100 families to re-establish in East-Central Saskatchewan. Most are moving here to set up livestock and livestock related operations.

This year’s tour into Alberta will take the delegation to the Agricultural colleges in both Olds and Vermillion Alberta. The key audience is the younger generations who are highly educated and may have the financial resources to make the move and either lease or purchase an operation in East-Central Saskatchewan. The delegation will also stop at Fort McLeod to do a presentation.

Farmers who want to use the free listing through the Melville Advance or Yorkton this Week are encouraged to do so by the 13th of January. Farmers are also reminded that the listing service is for land that is either “for Sale or Lease”. Copies of both these weekly papers will be circulated at all the seminars on route.
